Center for Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) - CRPE, established at the University of Washington in 1993, seeks to develop and evaluate methods of public oversight that can allow individual schools to be focused, effective and accountable. CRPE’s research into current governance arrangements in public education has found that the most productive schools follow coherent instructional strategies in an environment free of regulation and compliance imperatives....

Center on Educational Governance - This interdisciplinary center unites faculty from the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education, the Marshall School of Business, and the School of Policy, Planning and Development. It focuses on the link between educational governance and school performance with the goal of improving the productivity of education systems. The main activities of the center are: (1) basic research aimed at building new theories about what makes schools work, (2) action research to provide educators, parents and policymakers with new tools and strategies for managing schools effectively, and (3) dissemination focused on facilitating the use of research to improve educational practice....

Clearinghouse on Educational Policy and Management - This education information database covers all aspects of the governance, leadership, administration and structure of public and private education organizations at the elementary and secondary levels, including the provision of physical facilities for their operation....
