John Q. Easton Executive Director, Consortium on Chicago School Research University of Chicago, Illinois John Q. Easton is the executive director of the Consortium on Chicago School Research (CCSR) since 2002. He has been affiliated with CCSR since its inception and led its first research study. In 1997, he became deputy director of the Consortium. Much of Easton's research at CCSR examines trends in achievement test scores and the use of test scores in school improvement and school accountability efforts. Easton also has had a long association with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), having served twice as director of the Department of Research, Analysis, and Assessment. Previously, he was director of research at the Chicago Panel on School Policy. Easton holds a Ph.D. in Measurement, Evaluation, and Statistical Analysis from the University of Chicago.
