At the Forum, we explored how education can be an engine to ignite the economy. Whether your state is challenged by making the shift from early learning to the early grades or from middle school and high school to college and career preparation — The ECS National Forum on Education Policy was the place for answers. The 2009 National Forum featured more than 30 sessions — highlighted by powerful dialogues and deep discussions on a broad spectrum of current education challenges.
This year's headliners included:
- Clayton M. Christensen, the Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, author of Disrupting Class (2008)
- Richard Elmore, Gregory R. Anrig Professor of Educational Leadership at Harvard University
