 | Kristie Kauerz Early Childhood/P-3 Policy Director, Office of Lieutenant Governor Barbara O'Brien, Colorado Kristie Kauerz is the Early Childhood/P-3 Policy Director for Colorado Lieutenant Governor Barbara O’Brien. She has served as the program director of early learning at ECS, director of public policy analysis at the Center for Human Investment Policy at the University of Colorado-Denver, and as director of community development for families and children in former Colorado Governor Roy Romer’s office. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles, book chapters and reports on topics ranging from state kindergarten policies to P-3 policy alignment. She is a doctoral candidate in early childhood policy at Teachers College, Columbia University.
