The 2022-23 Chair’s Initiative, led by Education Commission of the States’ Chair, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, focuses on computer science education. Specifically, the Initiative elevates state action to expand computer science education and explores various aspects of the issue, including equitable access, educator preparation and licensing, standards and curriculum adoption, and connections to career pathways.
